nothing makes me happier today then the company that killed my friend being sued for millions of dollars

this is my friend greg. he died working for cineflix on CAMPUS PD and they handled it quite poorly. in fact, they were at FAULT for his death. no WSIB coverage for crew. no one was properly immigrated to the USA. word from the accident scene was they had too much equipment and too many people in the helicopter. there is another article about it here.

he was my co-worker on a very small shoot, and we worked together for a few days before we realized we both were from the same home town, and we went to the same film school. he was a rad dude and he is greatly missed in northern ontario film. we used to chat on fb and via email here and there after working together. he was going to be coming back to our home town after the shoot he died on to shoot his first ontario arts council funded short film as a director. his partner has gone on to train in film, and now works in film, in his memory.

this is the company that produced the show he died working on. this is them getting sued for millions of dollars in labour breaches. i never thought this company would be brought down because they are that huge. just like we all thought HW would not go down.

there will be more. i promise you. at least one of the producers involved with cineflix who helped shape many of these illegal thieving business practices has been actively thieving in northern ontario film. she's even taught others how to steal too! how amazing of her to pass her skill set on!!
