TIFF 2013
EMPIRE OF DIRT is having it's world premiere @ the 38th Annual Toronto International Film Festival. http://tiff.net/filmsandschedules/festival/2013/empireofdirt
They have selected 300 films from 70 countries. Don't think having a Canadian feature is a shoo in for being accepted.
I've submitted every film i've ever produced (16+ films now) and i've only gotten in twice. Once for NEGEMO (which is online here if you've never seen it - link only works in Canada)
and now for EOD.
we are all VERY proud of this little indie film that could. i can't wait for all of you to see it. even watching the 1st rough cut i knew - we had an outstanding touching thoughtful film about family pain.
it was by making this film about intergenerational transference, that i had the realization how much pain has been transferred through my own family blood line.
i am the person on both sides of my family that is willing to make a change. i've already started.
