in celebration of a year of harvey having no job, here are more blind items
i could probably write one of these per day and have enough material to write for years. but it's more fun to post things when i want to, not when people expect it.
1) which major Canadian Film Festival is being investigated for tax credit fraud, workplace harassment and constant labour violations?
2) who has nickel in their veins? oh and i only know of this because this person screamed this at a Sudbury senior citizen when she dared to ask this dill hole to stop parking in front of her house, blocking in the other senior citizens who lived there. good job dill hole, that whole neighbourhood has been burnt as a filming location because of dill holes like you. the person he screamed at complained to my former office, the city of Sudbury, the Sudbury Star, and the Northern Life, FYI. nothing happened. he is still harassing.
3) which recipients (there are 2) of the Sudbury 40 under 40 awards have been involved in several sexual harassment & intimidation incidents & are well known labour law & union rules violators?
4) which recipient of a Sudbury 40 under 40 award is currently in conflict with their work contract for doing side work, as well as receiving additional $ from gov sources that are a direct conflict with their work contract?
5) which North Bay resident is raking in gov money from multiple sources, and funding free vacations to the USA on tax credit money?
6) which North Bay location scout is well known for abusing crew, breaking the labour law, and always making money for senior level jobs they have zero training for? do not trust this person, i probably know something they have said about YOU behind your back.
7) which Ottawa producers discriminate against their crew and have together covered up a major incident of work place violence? don't worry the violent crew member went on to two more productions, both where he caused all kinds of chaos, and was on drugs while working, all the time. how do i know this happened? i witnessed the violence, and was fired for reporting it. i have since beat these producers at Employee Standards, as they tried to rip me and the survivor of the attack off for THOUSANDS of dollars. stay tuned!
8) which director/writer/producer molested a ton of women in the Sudbury arts community and then was banned from working, so he had to move to Toronto? (Fall 2017). don't worry, he's back to work, and i'm willing to bet there are already other survivors. i should know: i'm one of them. and i'm aware of at least 10 other women.
9) which Toronto based reality producer did not purchase WSIB coverage for thier staff, nor did they immigrate the crew properly to the USA? then, when their DOP was injured in a PREVENTABLE accident, and later died from complications to his injuries, this producer and Toronto based company paid off his family and made them sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which is why you have never heard about this in the media. that DOP was a friend of mine, and he is very missed. i wished for a long time it was the PRODUCER that actually got hurt instead of my friend, but, unfortunately feeling like that does not bring my friend back.
10) which Toronto based writer/producer/former director, now lawyer, continues to exploit people he calls his "friends"? his first film after becoming a lawyer he forced his "friends" to sign contracts, never gave them time to read the contracts, and never gave them copies of the fully executed contracts. he also did not repay for broken equipment, that was broken, by the talent, on set. his "friend" was out of pocket thousands of dollars, and treated like absolute garbage by the rest of the lawyer's production team, and excluded and mocked at the film festival premiere of the film. when i was told what happened i said: "do not let him do it to you again. he's done it to me, he's done it to you, and i've seen him do it to others. do not let him take advantage of you again." so far, he's listened.
